Arrest of PTI MNAs from Parliament, Speaker National Assembly's big action
ISLAMABAD: Speaker
National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq has suspended Sergeant at Arms Ashfaq Ashraf and
four other security personnel after the arrest of PTI MNA Aziz from Parliament.
According to the details,
after the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf MNAs from the Parliament, Speaker
National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq suspended Sergeant-at-Arms Ashfaq Ashraf for
irresponsibility in the security of the Assembly.
The Speaker suspended
Sergeant-at-Arms Ashfaq Ashraf for 4 months, apart from this, 4 other security
personnel were also suspended for failing to provide security in Parliament.
The suspended officials
include Assistant Waqas Ahmed and 3 Junior Assistants, Junior Assistants
Obaidullah, Waheed Safdar and Mohammad Haroon.
Yesterday, Speaker Ayaz
Sadiq while ordering the detention of the arrested PTI members of the National
Assembly said that he will not tolerate the humiliation of honorable members
under any circumstances.
Earlier, the speaker had
announced to take action on the incident of arrest of PTI MLAs from Parliament
House by Islamabad Police.
While giving his rolling,
Ayaz Sadiq said that action will definitely have to be taken on what happened
last night. I have ordered all the footage from last night. By looking at these
footages, those responsible will be determined and action will be taken against
them.

Ayaz Sadiq further said

the arrested MNAs were issued yesterday while some security personnel have also
been suspended following the production orders.
He said that he will try
to get to the bottom of the incident. The opposition and the government must
sit with the speaker. The committee recommended by Bilawal Bhutto is formed
today and the names of its members are also finalized today.
It should be noted that
between Sunday and Monday night and early morning, Islamabad police entered the
Parliament House and arrested many leaders including PTI Chairman Gohar
Advocate.
There was a lot of heat in
the National Assembly session against this incident yesterday. PTI, opposition
alliance and PP also termed it as an insult to Parliament while Speaker
National Assembly took immediate notice of the incident and ordered an
investigation and immediate release of the arrested members.

Sadiq had written a letter to the Federal Ministry of Interior to investigate
the matter of arrest of PTI members from the Parliament House.
In a letter written by the
Speaker of the National Assembly to the Federal Ministry of Interior, an
investigation was directed into the arrests of PTI members from the Parliament
House.
He has requested the report
of the said investigation from the Ministry of Interior within 7 days and
directed that the Speaker of the Ministry of Interior should also inform the
National Assembly regarding the investigation.
